Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tamarind (imli) , soaked in water for 1 hour
  • 2 tbsp jaggery (gur)
  • 1/2 cup cumin seeds (jeera) powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
  • a pinch rock salt (sendha namak)

Method

1- Remove the skin of the tamarind, deseed and strain the pulp.

2- Combine the tamarind pulp and remaining ingredients and blend in a mixer along with 4 cups water.

3- Serve chilled.
